DB01-BANNER-RB-SBPR

"Friends to lovers at its best-- a sweet indulgence I couldn’t put down!” - R.S. Grey, USA Today Bestselling Author

Baking Me Crazy, the first in the romantic comedy Donner Bakery Series of standalones, from Karla Sorensen is available now!

I'm Levi Buchanan, and until five years ago, I thought the legend of my family's curse was a load of crazy, Southern nonsense.

No curse can make you fall in love at first sight. No curse can force a true, deep, passionate, all-consuming love that will haunt you all the days of your life.

Then I met Jocelyn Abernathy and I realized how completely wrong I was.

The problem is, Jocelyn guards her feelings like well-armed soldier. She's the most beautiful, stubborn, infuriating woman I've ever met. Every time she talks, I want to kiss the living daylights out of her. But I can't.

Because when we met, she didn't need true love. She needed a best friend. And that's what I've been to her... for five years.

But when Jocelyn meets a handsome stranger her first day working at Donner Bakery and she lets him buy her a dill pickle cupcake, I realize with ominous regret that I may have missed my window with my best friend.

If I can't get her to see past our friendship, my new curse may be to watch the love of my life move on with someone else.

'Baking Me Crazy' is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, can be read as a standalone, and is book#1 in the Donner Bakery series, Green Valley World, Penny Reid Book Universe.

About Karla Sorensen
Karla Sorensen has been an avid reader her entire life, preferring stories with a happily-ever-after over just about any other kind. And considering she has an entire line item in her budget for books, she realized it might just be cheaper to write her own stories. It doesn’t take much to keep her happy…a book, a really big glass of wine, and at least thirty minutes of complete silence every day. She still keeps her toes in the world of health care marketing, where she made her living pre-babies. Now she stays home, writing and mommy-ing full time (this translates to almost every day being a ‘pajama day’ at the Sorensen household…don’t judge). She lives in West Michigan with her husband, two exceptionally adorable sons and big, shaggy rescue dog.

MB's Review of Mariana Zapata's Newest Release: From Lukov With Love

Can I start off by saying how seriously excited I was about this book when I found out about it and that it had been released early! If any of you have read Mariana Zapata before you would know that she surprises her readers with her releases and well everything really. A friend of mine actually told me it was released and then what it was about. I saw it on her social media but I didn't really look into it further because I was in a book slump. (I hate those :/ ) Well as soon as I heard it was out I one-clicked that thing like it was my job!

One of the reasons why I am so excited about this book is because everything I've read by Mariana has been amazing and I had no doubt this would be too. The other reason is that my daughter skates. Yup, my oldest realized one day that she liked figure skating and has been obsessed with it. Now, don't get me wrong, I've always enjoyed watching it but I was not a die-hard fan like her. She has been slowly pushing me into the figure skating world and the rest of our family. Now all three of my kids are skating it's expensive, but they have so much fun. I can say that we are probably at the rink at least 3 times a week for no less than 2 hours at a time. I swear my Hawaiian blood is getting used to the cold. The power and grace that those skaters have on the ice is awe inspiring. I wish I could move like that normally, let alone on the ice.

Why did you need all that back? Well you didn't but I was excited to share with you why I was so excited about this book. So without further ado, my review for From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata.

Title: From Lukov With Love
The Queen of the slow burn does it again.
What I love about Mariana's writing is that all of her characters, not just the leads have so many layers to them. We get to know them fro who they really are and not just some cheap face value. This story is heartbreaking, beautiful, triumphant, and just enough slow burn to sizzle. I had to read it again because I couldn't get enough of it.
If you haven't guessed by now, I am absolutely in love with this book. I swear Jasmine is one of my favorite characters ever. She is so strong and so confident, but has such an a vulnerability that she would probably hockey stop and spray me with ice if she heard me say it. She is such a dynamic character and with her personality, humor, wit, and some of her family situations I was really able to relate to her and I thought for a second Mariana was writing about me. Did I mention Ivan... Oh Ivan, I don't even know where to start, but I will say that he is a cocky, self-important, amazing individual.
Ever book that I have read by Mariana Zapata hasn't disappointed, it's exceeded my expectations and this book is so far beyond that I am now officially in my book hangover stage and will be reading other hockey and ice skating books just to feel the same as I did with this book knowing it will be difficult to
do so.

 About the Story
If someone were to ask Jasmine Santos to describe the last few years of her life with a single word, it would definitely be a four-letter one.
After seventeen years—and countless broken bones and broken promises—she knows her window to compete in figure skating is coming to a close.
But when the offer of a lifetime comes in from an arrogant idiot she’s spent the last decade dreaming about pushing in the way of a moving bus, Jasmine might have to reconsider everything.
Including Ivan Lukov.
About the Author

Mariana Zapata began writing love stories soon after she learned how to spell. She probably shouldn’t admit that she started sneaking romance novels from her aunt’s bookshelves way before she was old enough to even understand what it meant when a man flipped up a woman’s skirt… don’t tell her mom. Luckily, she stuck to stories about princesses and princes for a while.
In her teens, she wrote boy band fanfiction (there’s still a website up somewhere on the internet with those masterpieces), and in her early twenties, she picked it back up again with Sookie Stackhouse and Twilight. Eventually, her significant other finally told her to do what she wanted to do and she began working on her original work. Her novels tend to include potty humor, bodily functions, and bad words.
Mariana lives in a small town called Pagosa Springs, Colorado with her husband/best friend, Chris Letchford, and their two well-beloved (and emotionally manipulative) Great Dane children, Dorian and Kaiser. When she’s not pretending to write, she’s reading sci-fi, fantasy, steampunk or historical romance novels. You can usually find her harassing her dogs, being a hermit at home or cracking jokes at the expense of her family members.
